If the mere mention of a statistic induces yawns or tears of frustration, then Statistics for People Who Think They Hate Statistics 6th Edition (9781506333830) sets out to positively alter those somewhat irrational views. Rooted in empathy for those intimidated by such courses and particularly suited for the statistical novice in liberal arts or medicine, this most readable book appeals to anyone bewildered by numbers and/or numerals. For ease, take it one step at a time through an evenly paced blend of humor, great examples, and clarity to elucidate most statistical concepts, rather than mystifying them.

As an undergraduate generalist statistical method in research, it has been particularly ideal for beginning or non-math-oriented students, and Statistics for People Who Think They Hate Statistics, 6th Edition (9781506333830) remains highly rich in real-life examples, practices, and graphics. It explains descriptive statistics, probability, inferential statistics, correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing in an easy-to-understand manner that one is assured of understanding, even if one had never had any prior knowledge of those terms. What really sets this 6th Edition apart is the practical focus it brings: clear guidance on when and how to use various statistical methods in real-world settings; likewise, the integration of the use of modern statistical software makes this text useful for both students and professionals.

Whether you are a student working on research projects, or a professional wanting to interpret data, or someone who wants to simply conquer their fear of statistics, Statistics for People Who Think They Hate Statistics, 6th Edition (9781506333830) will help you through the process. You’ll find that with the relevant content and in an engaging style, you won’t just learn-you’ll actually enjoy the process. Don’t let the name fool you-this is the statistics book that will change the way you understand statistics. Whether you are working through coursework or working with data in your career, this 6th Edition is the perfect companion to make statistics accessible, manageable, and even fun.

This is probably the most interesting math book I have ever read. Yes, statistics is not an easy subject to cover, but this book makes it less boring, easy to understand, and it is engaging. Like the book says, if your professor recommends this book for your class, they truly care about you learning this subject.

Great textbook for a topic that most people can’t stand. Easy to understand information using easy to understand language.
